If you're on outdoor recreation enthusiast, Sep. 27th, Public Lands Day, is probably the BEST day to get out and help your favorite group/club/organization do someting cool for public lands.
If you're in Northern CA, here are three options for you:

Friends of Eldorado (large teams doing several jobs: http://www.friendsofeldorado.com/)

National Public Lands Day is a big deal for recreation and we should be out there along with our associates in the anti-motorized crowd. Show the world that you care -- for the great outdoors and do something for Public Lands Day. You can also check out their national web site:
